So, following on from my previous post, I was saying about my leg. Normally this doesn't play up very much despite all the problems I had when I was younger but today it has started hurting lots after walkies because of the coldness. :( So now I'm resting it in my bed and thought I should blog while I have the chance!!

Mummy has lots of photos on her laptop of me growing up so I thought maybe I would put them on here so my anipals could see!!

A bit about me... Part 1

So, maybe I should tell you more about me. I turn two in May and I can't wait! I gots the hugest bone ever for Christmas so hoping Daddy gets me something just as great for my birthday!

Even though I am very young, I have had a very eventful life so far. I was given to my mummy as a present when I was first born as a way to remember her daddy. That's where I get the name Olly from. I'm named after my Granddad! :)

I lived with mummy along with my grandma and cousin Tally. Tally is a German Shorthaired Pointer, and she goes hunting for birds and things. She's really awesome and some people say she is a very beautiful dog, though I don't see it personally.

I'll talk about Tally another time though. For now, let's just focus on me!

Times were good, and I was really enjoying my life until one night when my grandma was walking me, I fell down a really deep pot hole on the field and broke my leg. It was a really bad time, and I was in a lot of pain. I had to be rushed to the emergency vets and wasn't even allowed to see my mummy. I had to stay in hospital for 10 days, during which I had to have 2 operations and it was thought that I might never be able to use my leg properly again.

Mummy was really sad and even though she wasn't there when it happened, she blamed herself for it. She felt bad because she wasn't allowed to see me before I went to hospital and then I wasn't allowed visitors for a whole week!! It was so strange living at the hospital for all that time though the nurses were very nice to me. They said I was really handsome and a good boy, and laughed at my waggy tail! Apparently, even when I had broken my leg I was still wagging my tail on the hospital table hehe! I don't see the point in getting sad about things!

When I was finally allowed home to see my mum, they made me wear this horrible cone around my neck to stop me from licking at my stitches. This was soooooo annoying and I didn't like it one bit! So I hatched a plan to break it so that I wouldn't have to wear it ever again, mwahahaha! Unfortunately, the humans caught onto this though and so they just took me back for a new one. :(

I was bandaged up for a long time and it wasn't until they'd taken off my cone that I realised that not only had I had to have an operation but they'd shaved my leg as well!! How embarrassing!

The general consensus was that my leg would never work properly again and that I would never be able to act like a proper puppy and chase my tail and stuffs. How they were wrong!!!

This is me running in the snow - I really love the snow!!!

I have lots more to tell about my life so far but gonna leave it there for tonight as it's nearly time for my bed! I'll be sure to update tomorrow though!!

Night pooches xx

Woof!

So, I realise that I've not really kept up with this blogging malarky. I should really do that. So from today, I'm going to try! Mum and Dad have been going on lots of walks to Sherwoof Pines recently so have lots of photos I can upload! Will do that later on.... in the meantime, it's snowing again! BOL!

My First Blog

So this is my first blog. As a dog in the 21st Century, I feel it is only appropriate that I have one so as not to get behind with the times. Also, I feel that Twitter does not allow enough characters for me to say exactly what I want to say - a dog such as me should not be censored.

So where do I start? For those who don't know me, I'm Olly, or Dogbot if we're friends. I live in a snazzy house with my Mummy, Hayley, and my Daddy, David. They're pretty cool as far as parents go. Dad takes me for really wild walks and Mum makes my dinner. So yeah, they'll do.

I have a best friend called Ruby. She is technically my cousin, though you wouldn't believe it if you saw her. She's a Rottweiler, so my Mummy says, and is the bestest friend anyone could ever ask for. I used to live with her when I was a bit younger so we're mega close. This is Ruby:

I have another cousin called Reggie. He's OK, I guess, but I don't like it when he steals my tuggy toy. My tuggy toy is my favourite toy ever and so I don't like it when he steals it. I mean, I don't mind sharing, but I get scared he'll take it home with him so I prefer him just to not play with it at all. He fell out of a window last week so we were all a bit worried about him but he's fine now.

Mummy, Daddy and I all live on a street called Crown Street where apparently all the coolest people live. My favourite people on the street are Katy, Lizz and Stu though the old lady next door is pretty nice too. She lets me bark at the gate as much as I want.

This week my Dad and Mum started taking me around the racecourse near our house. It's amazing!! Dad always takes my tuggy toy for me to play with as well and there lots and lots of lovely dogs for me to play with! I met one like Ruby the other day. Her name was Sky and looked a lot like Ruby but was smaller and much much older so she couldn't play as much as Ruby and I do but she was nice to hang out with. Dad's taking me to play again later - I can't wait!!
